A business owner does not need a 90-page SEO report every morning. They need to know if the money pages moved. Did the garage door repair page climb? Did the clone site drop? Did the real phone number page pass the fake one? That is a rank alert problem.
The topic
Rank tracking should focus on a tight list of searches: service plus city, emergency service plus city, brand name, and the competitor or copycat names that matter. A good alert reports movement in plain language, not spreadsheet theater. Up four spots means something only if it happened on the phrase that sends customers.
Where WALO does it
This is where the topic stops being theory. WALO should turn the idea into an action card: explain the move, show the source page, let the owner approve it, then log the result. The owner does not need a marketing department to do basic operating work.
- Watch: track selected phrases daily or weekly
- Compare: store named competitors and report when the owner passes them
- Explain: show the likely reason: new article, link, title fix, or competitor drop
- Next move: suggest the next two or three pages to improve
